The Dieline

Doing a lot of research about packaging for my “X” Magazine I stumbled upon this website. For everyone who is interested in packaging design it’s worth checking it on a regular basis.

The Dieline is dedicated to the progress of the package design industry and its practitioners, students and enthusiasts. It’s purpose is to define and promote the world’s best examples of packaging, and provide a place where the package design community can review, critique and stay informed of the latest industry trends and design projects being created in the field. The Dieline has quickly grown into the most visited website on package design in the world, and has become the voice of the industry.’

Getting the news you are interested in is sometimes harder then it seems. Nowadays we have lots of newspaper, online newspaper, TV to inform ourselves. This project by Marcos Weskamp and Dan Albritton makes it a lot more easier to find the news you are really interested in. Newsmap collects the headlines from various online newspapers and displays them on the site. Each colour represents another category (like Sport, World, Nation, Entertainment…). By removing the tick from the categories you are not interested in you remove the headlines from the main screen. If you click on a headline the main article appears.

It’s an easy and quick way to inform yourself about whats happening in the world.
