Esquire with electronic cover

The Esquire (an American men magazine) wanted to make a combination between the e-magazines and the paper based magazine by creating a blinking cover for the October issue. The technology which makes it possible is called e-ink and was initially used for shop displays. It’s a step further in what the National Geographic Magazine did in 1984 when they introduced the first hologram on a cover.
